Just wondering how many people are going to cosplay homestuck this year. Because last year it was such a hit that you couldn’t go three steps without seeing a troll xD

Note from NDK: This has been asked before, but perhaps peoples’ hallway cosplay plans are a little more concrete now. :)

Hey, some friends of mine are debating becoming dealer's for the con this year. How would they go about doing that? Has the deadline passed?

Unfortunately our Dealers is sold out. There is a waiting list, but some folks have been on it for 5 years. Your friends are welcome to get on it, you never know what can happen.

I had a question reguarding line rules for this years NDK. In previous years it has always been a 2hr line up rule that any lines started for an event prior to the 2hr mark weren't honored. However, last year it seemed that rule was thrown out the window and I was unable to attend many of the events I had planned for because people were starting to line up as far as 5hrs early. I missed every signing and more than half of my planned due to this. What will be the rules reguarding this, this year?

While I’m happy that staff did their best to take care of attendees (water, making signs, etc)… the bottom line is that we really dropped that ball with that last year and we’re very sorry.

To try and fix this, we actually created a new Line Department for next year (and beyond). That way, they can focus solely on that and not on multiple issues at the same time. We’re also going to make sure to clearly communicate all lines rules multiple ways, be it on social media, signs on the wall, Guidebook, etc. And, we’re going to make sure any staff up there supervising autographs is well-versed on the policies.

In short, we’re very sorry and we’re very determined to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

Yes it will! But here’s a few suggestions:

1. If possible, avoid the website. The server majorly slowed down last year.

2. Don’t wait for a post from us to pop up in your news feed. Visit our social media sites (like our Tumblr) directly. Facebook, especially, is notorious for not showing you all of our posts.

I have a question about the dress code at NDK NYE. So far my outfit looks fine, but my pants that I plan on wearing look like leather (They are just a shiny cloth material though). Is that alright, or is that a no go?

Oh, it’s free to reserve a room! But you need a credit card that can be put on file, which you’ll then use to claim the room at-con.

have you guys found any funny errors on Apple Maps? The top result for ‘airport’ or ‘airport denver’ here is Stapleton, which closed 17 years ago and is now the name of a neighborhood. Also, searching for ‘sports arena’ brings up McNichols, which was torn down in 2000. hehe

I don't have a paypal account and when I went to pay as a guest to pre-reg for next year I received an error. Do I have to make a paypal account to register this year, or was the error unrelated?

You don’t have to have a PayPal account to pay with PayPal. Check your email for a confirmation. If you don’t have it, your payment didn’t go through.
